Chad Thanks Our Veterans

Veterans

Hey team. So here we are, Thankful Thursday again. I’m excited because today happens to be November 10th, and November 10th is the Marine Corps birthday. We’re in the Marine Corps Birthday shirt. I got it all going on here.

247 years ago, the United States Marine Corps came alive, and it happened in a tavern when a bunch of guys drank too much, got banged over the head, dragged onto a ship, and forced to serve. Some of you are sitting there going, what? Yeah, no, that’s, I mean, seriously, I mean, to some degree, that’s how the Marine Corps kind of existed and became.

We have a number of Marines, and it’s not really just about the Marines. Today is Thankful Thursday, we are thankful for our vets because tomorrow is Veterans Day. Tomorrow is also JT’s birthday, and I gotta say a little shout out from my little man. He’s gonna be nine years old. JT, happy birthday bro, I love you. I am so excited to be your daddy.

Now back to veterans. We have a number of vets – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air National Guard – that have served and continue to serve at Northwestern Enforcement, and so we’re super thankful.

I would be remiss in recognizing the veterans that we have amongst our family, and many of you have family members that have served and/or are serving currently. We want to give a huge shout out to our veterans and say thank you to our vets.

I know that tomorrow, JT and I will be making our rounds. We’ll start out, probably at Krispy Kreme. I’ll get myself a cup of coffee, he’ll get a donut. It’s nice having a birthday and a Veterans Day on the same day. Our community serves our vets in lots of ways, and there’s a lot of free food at different restaurants and stuff, so JT and I will be making our rounds, going to different restaurants, getting free meals – him for his birthday, me for my veteran service – and I’m excited for that, not just because of the food, but because I get to spend time with my little buddy. It’s an exciting time to spend with my son.

So for the vets in your life, and if you are a vet, again, thank you so much for your service. Thank you for serving here at Northwestern Enforcement. Thank you for being a part of our team and doing such great work.

So today, Thankful Thursday is for our veterans, the veterans that work here with us, the veterans in our families. Reach out and hug a vet, just make sure that you let them know that you’re gonna hug them before you hug them. You might get punched in the throat, alright?

God bless you guys. Remember, let’s be valuable because nothing else will do. And there’s not many people that are more valuable than our vets, who give their time and their service to keep us safe around this world and around the globe. We do have many that are still serving overseas. I know I have a niece right now in the Marine Corps that’s serving overseas, so remember to be thankful for them too.

Alright, God bless you guys. I’ll see you next week.
