Do What Is Right
Hey team, here we are, Monday Message, and the time is always right to do what is right. Martin Luther King Jr. This week, we’re celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday and accomplishments. He was an amazing speaker, and he had such tenacity and an ability to do what was right, to focus on doing the right thing. He wasn’t a perfect man, but neither am I. Neither are any of us. But for his time, he did some amazing stuff.
I have the word “transparency” behind me for the same purpose. I think that when it comes down to it, the time is always right to do what is right. Sometimes we’re worried, and that’s why we have that core value: transparency, even at a cost. Even if it cost me my job, I’m going to do and say the right thing. I’m going to stand up for somebody else if I know somebody else is being wronged. I’m going to say what’s wrong and what’s right because it’s the right thing to do.
That’s not in everybody. Not every person, I think that probably everybody I’m talking to that hears this message probably somewhere in their system has run across a situation with a person where you felt wronged, not righted, that somebody kept quiet instead of helping you out, instead of speaking up when they knew you were being wronged. I think everybody here probably has had that happen. Some of you are picturing that moment right now. You’re thinking about that moment right now.
The time is always right to do what is right.
So as you’re moving through this week and this year of 2023, set resolve. Another core value that we have, resolve yourself to always doing what’s right because it’s the right thing to do. Be transparent and speak up when you know something is wrong. Speak out. The world will be a better place if we’re transparent and we’re resolved to do what’s right and to be focused in love, in caring, through our relationship but to do the right thing.
On this Monday, we talked about a couple of our core values, and we talked about a great man that we’re celebrating his birthday, Martin Luther King Jr. So remember, it is always the right time to do the right thing. And I think I probably misquoted that last piece, but I think I quoted it right earlier. God bless you guys. Have a wonderful week, and I will see you next week. Be valuable because you know nothing less will do. All right, I’ll see you guys next week. God bless.
