See Them Through

Hey team, another beautiful Monday, and here we are. Gloria Vanderbilt said that we are not put on this Earth to see through others or to see through one another. We are put on this Earth to see one another through. I like that because that statement kind of goes to our core values, and Monday is about core values. So that’s what we’re here for, right? Monday Message, core values, our investment in one another, our transparency, and the fact that we like to eat cake. The purpose of being valuable, because nothing less will do.

These are all things that kind of focus us to think about how we can help others. How can we see them through?

We come to work. Many of us got into security because we like to serve, we like to help others. So it’s always good to remember to not get focused on just the job of doing stuff, locking doors, checking doorknobs. While that’s important, all the nuances around getting the job done, the purpose behind why we do it is to help others, to help others get through, sometimes maybe the toughest day in their life, maybe the toughest day of their week. And that’s our job, to help one another, to help our fellow team members. We come to work. I hear it many times.

Why people like Northwest Enforcement is because we’re like a family because we care about each other.

We’re not just here to collect a paycheck. The term I have used in the past is putting in my eight so I can hit the gate. That’s all I do. That’s not the purpose. The purpose is to see another person through and to help others when maybe they’re down, when they’re needing help. I see it in our Patrol team helping out from one district to another, making what seems like an intolerable night bearable with each other and the value that they put into each other. So thank you guys for that and continuing to show that value to one another.
