Integrity
Hey team, all right, so here we are. It is another beautiful Monday, and Monday Messages are always about our core values. So I wanted to read you a quote on Integrity from Brené Brown.
“Choosing courage over comfort, choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy, and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.” Brené Brown.
So, I don’t know how many of you have read anything by Brené Brown. I’ve read two or three books by her. She’s got a couple of TED talks and some videos that are out on YouTube. You should check them out. I really like her quote on Integrity. Integrity is choosing to do sometimes the hard thing and doing the right thing, as opposed to the comfortable thing, which reminds me of our core values. Like integrity, transparency. Being transparent. Having a value system that says, “I can tell on myself when I make a mistake, I can take ownership for doing the wrong thing when I’ve done the wrong thing,” because we’re not perfect, none of us are, and recognizing that.
So, on this Monday as we’re moving through into the holidays and we’re thinking about the things that we’re thankful for here. Coming up on Thanksgiving. And we’re getting ready to celebrate Christmas and move into 2024 and thinking about those New Year’s resolutions possibly for some of us.
Let’s start today by saying, I want to have integrity. I want to do the right thing. Not just the fun thing, not just the fast, easy thing, but the tough thing sometimes. And taking ownership for my mistakes and doing the right thing when I see something that is wrong. Taking and voicing my concern when I know that something shouldn’t be, and owning who I am, telling on myself when necessary.
So here we are, guys. God bless you as you move into this week and next week. And as we get closer to the holidays and our Christmas parties that are coming up. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, from Karen’s heart, from our family, from our leadership team. Thank you for your hard work, your dedication, and your love.
God bless you. I’ll talk to you next week. See you.
