One Degree Difference Avatar Monday
Good morning, team. Okay, so those of you that are watching this right now, you’re probably like, “What the heck is that?” You’re saying to yourself, “Chad, you’re an avatar. How did you do that?” Well, being the fact that tomorrow happens to be April 1st, April Fool’s Day, I just thought I’d do something kind of fun.
I was going to tell you that I got downloaded into a computer and this is the new me. How do you like my suit? Do you like the turtleneck? Those of you that are only listening to this, you’re saying, “Oh my God, I gotta go watch this.” And I hope you do, because I probably won’t do this again anytime soon. But I thought I would have fun with it a little bit.
I was thinking the other night and I was talking to Karen, and I said, “We have ChatGPT, but what if we had ChadGPT?” What if I was a computer model and everything came out of my voice, and I gave advice based on people’s questions? I’d be kind of like that computerized version of Dr. Phil. What do you guys think? Would you listen to a guy in a turtleneck and a tweed suit with glasses and a red beard and a bald head that happens to be an avatar and a computer-generated AI? I don’t know.
Okay, so tomorrow is April 1st, and it’s hard to believe that we’re three months behind us already. But I wanted to read you a quote. And because it’s Monday, I wanted to share with you a little bit of information.
“The difference between ice and water is one degree. What if you were one step away from the life you want? Don’t give up on it.”
So I want you to think about that. I could go on and on talking about this subject. The difference between ice and water is one degree. Ice starts to melt if it gets only one degree warmer. That’s an important function to think about and understand.
The closer you get to your goal, you might just find out that things sometimes get harder. They’re not always easy. But you’re only one step away. And if you give up, you may never know what you didn’t accomplish. That’s an important thing to think about.
I want you to recognize that one of our core values is resolve. Don’t quit; don’t give up on yourself. Don’t end one step from the finish line.
Like I said, I could tell story after story after story. So I’m going to tell you one short one real quick. There was a guy—he ran a race. It was in the 1960s. It was the marathon run, 26 miles or whatever it was. He was from one country or another. This was an Olympic run.
He hurt himself. He hurt his leg and ended up limping across the finish line hours and hours later. Somebody came up to him and said, “Hey, you were hurt. Why did you keep going?”
The end result of that was this and it’s kind of interesting. He said, “My country didn’t send me here to win the race. They sent me here to finish the race.”
Think about that for a second. One degree change, and ice starts to melt. One step further, and you get there. You’re not on this planet to win everything, but you are here to finish.
Finish what you started. Keep going. If you’re a few classes away from a degree, then put into practice, put into motion that step. Don’t give up on your dream. Just don’t give up on your dream.
I know that I have. Honestly, I’ve given up on some dreams in my past and I regret it. At the same time, there are things I have had the resolve to continue to drive forward to. Obviously, one of those things is Northwest Enforcement. Another one is my marriage. I continue to strive to have a better marriage because I care very much about my wife and my time with her and my family. I don’t want to give up on my boys.
These things matter. Remember that. Remember to be valuable in everything you do, because nothing less will do. And remember that God loves you.
So, on this beautiful day in this beautiful month the end of it as we move into April and April Fools. I would like you to go ahead and email me: What do you think about ChadGPT as a way of informing the masses on all the great things about life? Wouldn’t you just want to get onto a ChadGPT website and ask it questions and have it riddle out wonderful answers?
Okay, now I’m getting a little crazy. God bless you guys. You have a wonderful week.
