Northwest Enforcement is hiring for security positions. To work as a security officer, you must be at least 18 years old, have a clean record with no felony offenses, a good driving record for our patrol positions, and meet these requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Unarmed Guards:

  • A minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must pass a criminal background check (check disqualifier list HERE)
  • Positive pre-employment background check
  • Must pass a drug test
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Above average writing and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day
  • Ability to communicate situations or directions using a radio or phone in stressful situations
  • Must have a clean driving record (if applying for patrol position)
  • Neat, clean physical appearance
  • Proper personal hygiene
  • Personal transportation
  • Financially responsible
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Good physical condition, general health and eyesight correctable to 20/30
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Ability to make immediate decisions using common sense and sound judgment
  • Ability to carry out duties without supervision
  • Ability to pass a computer skills assessment test

Minimum Requirements for Armed Guards:

  • All requirements for unarmed guards
  • A minimum 21 years of age
  • A minimum of two years experience in security or a related field such as police or military

Note: the above are minimum requirements. Northwest Enforcement may require additional experience, education or skill based on specific contract requirements as necessary.
