We're Always Hiring

Northwest Enforcement is hiring for security positions. To work as a security officer, you must be at least 18 years old, have a clean record with no felony offenses, a good driving record for our patrol positions, and meet these requirements:

Minimum Requirements for All Guards:

  • 18 years or older
  • Must pass a criminal background check (disqualifier list HERE)
  • Must pass a drug test (federal standards)
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per shift
  • Neat, clean physical appearance and hygiene
  • Good physical condition, general health and eyesight correctable to 20/30
  • Reliable transportation (with clean driving record if applying for a patrol position)
  • Ability to communicate using a phone or radio in stressful situations

Minimum Requirements for Oregon DPSST Unarmed Guards:

  • All requirements for unarmed guards (above)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must complete a two-day/14-hour DPSST course and pass a knowledge test without assistance

Minimum Requirements for Washington DOL Unarmed Guards:

  • All requirements for unarmed guards (above)
  • Must complete a one-day/8-hour DOL unarmed course and pass a knowledge test without assistance
  • Must complete 8 hours of additional on-the-job training

Additional Armed Guard Requirements:

  • All requirements for unarmed guards
  • A minimum 21 years of age
  • A minimum of two years experience in security or a related field such as police or military

Note: the above are minimum requirements. Northwest Enforcement may require additional experience, education or skill based on specific contract requirements as necessary.
