Never Give Up

Hey team, here we are. It’s another Monday. Mondays are just rolling on through, and we’re already halfway through the month of October. Man, it’s amazing.

Today’s quote is: “No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up.” Today’s message wraps around resolve, our core value of resolve.

Never quit, never give up, keep moving forward. No matter how you feel.

Trust me, I know, I’ve been alive for 248 years. So as I get up every morning, there are mornings I don’t feel like getting out of bed. Some mornings, I don’t feel like getting up, I don’t want to wake up, I don’t want to be up. I would much rather just lounge around. I have those feelings too. Some days I wake up snap, crackle, and pop. I literally think I had Rice Krispies for dinner. And I wake up and I hear that snap, crackling, popping as I’m walking into the bathroom.

I get it and I understand how life is and sometimes it keeps knocking us around and we don’t feel it. We wonder when we’re going to catch our big break. We wonder when those kind of things happen. I get it but you can never give up, no matter how you feel. You need to show up, you need to do the things that are required of you to keep building you into the next thing as you move forward.

Some of you are leaders, and there are people around you that depend on seeing you every day with a big smile on your face. They depend on you seeing how you’re going to handle the next big thing, the tough thing, whatever it is. And I see some of our leaders, some of the ways they handle some of the tough things that keep getting thrown at us. I admire the young men and women that we have working with us. I’m so proud of each and every one of you.

But no matter what you’re going through in life, you need to never give up.

You need to show up, you need to get dressed, you need to get up, and you need to make your bed. You need to do the things that are required of you to get to the next step in your life. Those are important things. I talked about it last week, everything you do matters.

Last week, exactly the same kind of thing, having the resolve to not quit when the times get tough. And I got to be honest right now, I’m preaching to myself because there have been some moments here in these last few weeks that I’ve felt the pressure and the pain. But how do we get through that?

We persevere and we get to that next level, and that’s what we’re going to do, and that’s what we continue to do here at Northwest Enforcement.

So again, guys, this week, don’t give up, just keep dressing up, showing up, and doing what is required. And God bless you for everything that you have done and you continue to do. Looking forward to our holiday parties coming up in December. We have one in Long View, I believe it’s on the 13th, and we have one here in Portland on the 9th. It’s going to be a lot of fun, so make sure you bring your family. We’re going to eat a lot of great food, we’re going to give away a lot of great prizes, and we’re going to celebrate together.
