Attitude

Attitude

Hey team. All right, so here we are. Another Monday Message and you notice I have a burning tree struck by lightning behind me. So, this is going to be an epic video. No, I’m kidding. I just really like cool art and photographs and things that are out of the way. Instead of having just a picture of a wall behind me. I thought maybe a cool tree would complement my face and my features. How’s it doing? Is it working? I thought so.

So, be the attitude you want to be around. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been around a lot of different people in my life. Eeyore comes to mind. You walk up to Eeyore and you say, “Oh, look, it’s a beautiful day.” “But it’s probably going to rain tomorrow.” That person that’s like literally wanting to throw a wet blanket on every single thing that goes on in life. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. Nobody wants to be around that kind of pessimism and negativity on a consistent basis. It’s just not healthy for anybody. Even for Eeyore himself, in all reality.

And so, what do I want you to think about on this Monday? Be the attitude that you want to be around. Be that cheerful person. I know that life sometimes can sock you in the gut. I’ve been punched in the gut, I’ve been punched in the face. I’ve been downtrodden, knocked down, beat up. And felt like the world is against me. I’ve Had those moments in my life. And I’ve come to realize that being the change that I want to see. Being that attitude, having the attitude that I want is what changes me. Along with sometimes helping others.

I come to realize early on in life. And sometimes I need a reminder too, to be the attitude that I wish to hang around, right? Be that person. Because sometimes, they say birds of a feather flock together. And many times, people are talking that in a negative tone, saying that, you know, two knuckleheads seem to find each other. Well, brilliant people seem to find each other too.

Something fascinating that I found is with my 10-year-old reading books and biographies about people like Henry Ford, Nicola Tesla, and Thomas Edison and great men like that. They all lived around the same time. And did you know that the three men I mentioned ahead of time, that they were all… they all worked together or for each other in one shape or form? They connected because great minds do think alike, and they seem to gravitate towards one another.

Firestone happened to be the guy. Firestone Tires happened to become a very good friend of Henry Ford. Great people think alike, become alike, build on each other’s successes, and challenge each other’s successes, just like knuckleheads can drag you down into the dirt.

So, who do you associate with? But more importantly, are you the attitude? Are you giving off the attitude that you want to be around? If you are, then you’re probably around people who are giving off that same attitude. And if you’re not around people who give you that same attitude, then maybe you should look at your reflection in the mirror.

Do you have a frown or a smile? Let’s turn that frown upside down, start smiling, and laugh more. Life is short. We eat cake, those kinds of things, because your attitude can change your track and where you’re going because it will attract and hang around people of the same kind of focus, and that is a powerful thing.

So, on this Monday with a tree burning behind me and everything, God bless you. Have a wonderful week. And remember, let’s keep being valuable because nothing less will do, and let’s keep having that attitude that we want to be around. God bless you guys. I’ll see you next week.
